A Teacher's Guide to IEP's

Making sure everyone's needs are met.

A Teacher's Guide to IEP's provides an in-depth look at Individualized Education Plans so you can feel confident creating an IEP that supports both the student and those who work with them.

It gives solid foundation in the IEP Process, common terminology you will come across and strategies for writing goals and objectives designed to help the teacher to understand how to support their student's needs.

At the end of this course you will have a systematic process for creating and reviewing IEPs.

Why???

Individualized Education Plans are created to help support student's with diverse learning needs. A well written IEP means the student's needs are met and anyone reading it, has the information they need to set this student up for success.
When students have their needs supported, they feel like a valued member of the class. It creates a greater sense of community and reduces the need for being reactive in the moment.
A well written IEP takes the guess work out of support the student. It provides teachers the opportunity to meet the child where they are at and have the appropriate supports.
This course is for teachers looking to up their IEP game. Teacher Education programs are jammed pack with so much important information in a short amount of time. Unfortunately, many teachers come out feeling overwhelmed about IEPs. A Teacher's Guide to IEPs allows you to take a closer look at the important elements in an IEP. I'll walk through some case studies of generic IEPs
and show you how to make them tailored to what the student needs so the student gets the support they need and any teacher reading the document knows exactly what to do.
